Description
You’ll enjoy this shooting guide if:
- * You want to gain accuracy in your marksmanship
- * You’d like to get out of the habit of continually purchasing new equipment in the hope of achieving results
- * You want to learn more about the equipment you use for shooting
The ABCs of Rifle Shooting by David Watson holds to the idea that shooters should hone their skills and streamline their equipment to achieve the desired results, rather than merely seeking out the newest pieces of equipment. Learn to put the time, effort, and training into the firearm you use—whichever you choose will be an accurate rifle because you’ve adapted to using it, not because it’s the latest and greatest, or most expensive model.
With this view in mind, explore the components of the rifle, as well as a range of firearm accessories you can utilize to enhance your gun. All of these aspects play a pivotal role in the success of your rifle shooting. Ammunition also contributes to your success as a shooter, as there are many different types, and ways it can be affected based on weather and other external conditions. Explore techniques for making yourself a better shooter, like hand position, trigger operation, shooting positions, and more. Putting these components together the right way can make all the difference between being an amateur shooter, and being an accurate one. Above all, learn to respect yourself, your ammunition, and your rifle equally.

A Word from the Author
“Accurate shooting is built upon and is the product of three fundamental components: the rifle, the ammunition, and the shooter. The three are all equally important and interrelated. Failure to pay respect to any one of the fundamentals will result in poor shooting.” —David Watson
